Unicube devs are actively working to improve the Sheltered 2 experience and get rid of the below list of issues and bugs, according to their own priorites. Known bugs

  • Inventories
    • Pantry and medical inventory: item deletion occurs during 2-way transfers if max inventory weight is reached at any point during transfer
    • Transferring a motorcycle chassis to storage can cause it to disappear (and not go to the junk pile) if extremely near weight limit
    • (Cosmetic) Clicking 'Take all' when checking junk pile, then switching to medical tab will result in an incorrect inventory view until closed and re-opened
    • Searching for bottles of water in storage and then adding them to supply will correctly give plastic but not add water to the supply; it also does not remove the water bottle from storage until the storage screen is closed and reopened.
    • "Added a limit to the number of craft jobs that can be queued on the workbench" - this is still an issue when choosing to plant seeds, repair equipment, recycle items at the workbench, recycle items at the armory, or mix drugs
    • Placing an electric knife or a spiked knuckle duster in a T4 recylcer and then removing it still leaves the lower-tier weapon in the output screen, and will generate that weapon. (Presumably other weapons that recycle into lower-tier weapons do the same.)
  • Factions
    • Eradicating a faction causes all future random encounter fights with other factions to suffer major reputation damage, regardless of outcome
    • Trading with a faction and getting a terrible deal for yourself will cause reputation damage with the faction (unknown if this only happens after destroying a faction or not)
    • The APR-16 faction reward weapon has no ammo nor any way to create ammo
    • The Los Muertos faction's third quest cannot be completed
    • (Possible bug) Completing the third quest for the Old Clan gives no reward
    • Rare item missions if radioed to complete but not having the rare item get stuck unable to be completed
    • When completing the faction job to "capture a member from X faction," the wrong prisoner can be taken if you have more than one (it is unknown if this only happens to factionless prisoners, or if the job always takes the prisoner from the first cell built)
    • It is possible to receive multiple faction rescue job requests for the same location; rescuing a prisoner from that location and then opening the faction screen allows each quest to be turned in, so long as each is selected before leaving that screen
    • Destroyed factions can still attack; apparently the last destroyed faction isn't completely gone; this can lead to a situation where the "End" quest is triggered over and over, covering the map with "End Game" tiles
  • Faction Goals
    • The "Advanced Mechanics" repair vehicles faction goal cannot be incremented/completed as there is no repair vehicle option (however its bonus would also do nothing)
  • Construction
    • Construction of more then 1 snare trap at a time can cause them to cease to catch rabbits
    • Deconstructing a rabbit snare with a rabbit caught will cause a visual bug where rabbit remains and repeating this 3 times will break spawning.
    • T1 Water containers can not be deconstructed
    • (Possible bug) Starting pantry and medical cabinet cannot be deconstructed
    • Prison beds lose durability with no way to repair them
    • Medical bed only seems to allow corpses from your own faction to be added for an autopsy
    • Effective planter continues to degrade even when not in use (it also gives off a small amount of light, which might be why)
    • Planters and greenhouses always return ★ results unless you have no ★ seeds of that type in your storage
    • (Cosmetic) Cabbages' description says it can only grow from 16-18°C but it can grow from 12-22°C
    • T3 sink doesn't seem to work after first use
    • Unable to remove burnt down items from shelter
    • Characters won't use a second table if the first is occupied
    • (Fixed in upcoming patch) Saving while someone is eating at a table can cause the character to become stuck and never move again
  • Laboratory
    • Some known issues with mixing ingredients, recipes, missing items
  • Battles
    • (Cosmetic) Saving and loading with shelter-breach corpses left unattended will render these corpses non-interactable (workaround: loading the game can cause the corpses to return to normal until the next time the game is saved)
    • Saving and loading during a shelter-breach may turn invaders into daze-immune superhumans who are a lot harder to fight
    • Enemies running away can remove all UI options from the combat interface, forcing a reload to continue playing
    • (Cosmetic) Alt-tabbing during a battle can sometimes move your characters far off screen
  • Weather
    • Seasonal Weather mismatch as time goes on (it seems like all seasons have winter weather after the first winter)
  • Interface
    • (Cosmetic) Using First Aid kits from inventory on the map screen will update a character's health, but the map screen's health for that character isn't displayed correctly until leaving the map screen and opening it again
    • (Cosmetic) Tooltips sometimes "stick" and don't go away until reloading
    • Floppy disks occasionally will not work (workaround: keep trying over and over)

  • 1.09 - 8th Oct, 2021
    • Fixed an issue where food would disappear when transferred between pantries
    • Fixed issue where the player could receive jobs for factions that had been wiped out
    • Repairing equipment no longer costs the same as crafting a new one
    • Fixed issue with faction goals not displaying faction names correctly when discovered
    • Fixed issue where the wind turbine would never reach maximum power output
    • Fixed issue where weapons could be duplicated
    • Fixed an issue where you would not receive resources back after deconstructing an object

    • Fixed an issue where quest encounters would freeze after trying to add an item to the party inventory if it is already full
    • Lightning rod now generates double the amount of energy when struck
    • Lightning rod now has 20% chance of stopping lightning striking the filters
    • Lightning rod now degrades when struck as well as slowly over time
    • Added code to repair broken saves where rescue jobs had spawned on mountains
    • Faction members will no longer attempt to rest if they have an infection
    • Faction members will no longer clean the surface
    • The Mine Shop tile now displays the correct encounter tile when visiting (Quest: “Invest Invest Invest”)
  • 1.08 - 6th Oct, 2021
    • Fixed an issue where you could claim an outpost/HQ without a fight
    • Possible fix for characters becoming unresponsive inside the shelter
    • Possible fix for breach overlay locking out control of faction members
    • Added a limit to the number of craft jobs that can be queued on the workbench - Equal to the amount of free job slots the selected character has available. Preventing excess jobs not being added to the job queue and losing crafting items.
    • Fixed issue where faction members would not be able to access small pantries located above beds. Also added in checks to make sure the best available food is taken.
    • Fixed issue where the incorrect amount of travel rations is displayed in the party inventory
    • Fixed issue where factions would continuously attack the same outpost
    • Fixed an issue where characters with 20 intelligence would only craft 1-star items
    • Fixed issue with harvested crops never returning two seeds
    • Fixed issue where food degradation level on pantries could show as negative
    • Tweaked AI so faction members will try to avoid wandering into rooms that are not a comfortable temperature
    • Fixed issue where traders would spawn on unreachable tiles

    • Fixed null reference on Options Panel which was freezing the game
    • Correct experience will now be given when using exercise equipment, stopping characters with the Slow Learner weakness trait getting stuck at 1xp
    • Stats which have been modified by mental and physical conditions will now display the unmodified value in brackets after the current level
    • Possible fix for headbutt not dazing
    • Fixed issue where main storage and pantries would display each other’s contents
    • Fixed broken upgrades on Water Purifier and Water Filter objects. Water Purifier also now displays max water capacity in tooltip

    • Fixed issue where the player’s characters could get stuck carrying a corpse
    • Fixed issue with medical items duplicating after a breach
    • Fixed issue where characters sleeping in beds would register as being in another room, causing them to become hot or cold (if the temp was too low or high in the other room)
    • Fixed an issue where items could be lost when using the Take All button after using the filter options on the item transfer screen
    • Locations now restock items - 1 item every 48 hours (once visited for the first time)
    • Petrol spawn chance increased at Petrol Stations
    • Added checks to quest spawning to check if destination is valid

    • Fixed issue stopping you completing Rescue jobs
    • Fixed an issue where the difficulty of regions would permanently increase - Should also repair saves which have been affected by this issue
    • Fixed some power system issues to do with objects not being powered correctly and displaying the wrong power status
    • Possible fix for NPCs performing multiple attacks
    • Fixed issue where negative mood modifiers from physical and mental conditions are not removed when cured
    • Fixed issue with infections not passing over time
    • Fixed issue where prisoners would move into another cell upon loading a save
