Recycling Junk items and materials you no longer need is a useful way of getting crafting materials for other projects and clearing some of the weight from your shelter's storage. At first you'll only be able to recycle stuff by hand at the workbench but you can later unlock a makeshift recycler, and then much later the full recycler to gain yet more items from the same resources.
